Little balls of scrumptiousness

Last week we caught up with 2 little balls of scrumptiousness.

Aren't they gorgeous - I couldn't believe how much they'd grown!

Yey, sunshine!

And after waiting for what has seemed like a million years, summer is finally here.

Today's share is just one photo but my favourite of the weekend - with sun comes good times and giggles.

Lunch with Nana + Grandad

Today we had lunch with my lovely Nana + Grandad, yummy yummy.  Lamb with veg ... nom, nom, nom.  But my favourite part?  Hearing even more stories about their lives before we existed.  Love it!

Colombia, muchos gracias...

I've been talking honeymoons a lot recently and it got me thinking about my own (which, as always, resulted in my weighing up the pros and cons of setting up a dive school on an island surrounded by turtles vs. life in the UK - unfortunately the sensible side of my brain always wins).  My husband and I love travelling  and what better excuse for a trip than a honeymoon.  We totally milked it and took a minimoon immediately after the wedding in April, saving our most-definitely-not-mini 'luna de miel' for the end of August, when we jetted of to Colombia for 5 weeks.

Having never been to South America before it was top of our (very long) list of places to visit.  We chose Colombia as it offered everything - cities, mountains, jungles and beaches, architecture, coffee, diving and salsa clubs.

And it most definitely lived up to expectation.  I thought I'd share my 10 favourite snaps from the trip, although I think that's another tough challenge I've set myself there.

1. Horse riding down the mountains - scary!!!

2+3. A man in a cafe and a blue door

4. A fantastically retro car

5+6. Street scenes

7. A beach in Tayrona National Park - blissful!

8+9. Hot sleepy street scenes

10. A tuc tuc in the heat of the midday sun in front of El Peñón de Guatapé

Well, these are my 10 favourite of the current moment.  Ask me again next week and they will probably have changed.

Sneak Peek @ Rose & Matt ...

Last Saturday brought with it the delights of a Cheshire wedding to photograph.

Neither bride nor groom were great fans of having their photos taken & so had asked for reportage style coverage of their day, capturing events as they unfolded.

Sometimes, when people don't like being in front of the camera, they actually lend themselves to a fantastic photo & the final image ends up being much more like them than the overly staged alternative.

Congratulations guys!

Rose had an almost ethereal air about her & I don't think I've ever met such a calm bride!

Husband-to-be Matt was equally as unruffled as he prepared for the big day with his parents - I love this one of his Dad pinning on his button hole.

The couple tied the knot in the Trafford Registry Office at Sale Town Hall.  "You may kiss the bride!"

There was rather a lot of rain but that did not deter the revelers as the party continued at a beautiful farm near Altrincham.  Check out all those yummy cakes!

A few breaks in the wet weather meant we could make use of this rather lovely barn with home-made bunting as a backdrop for some photos.

And as night drew in, the party really got going (I snuck off before the end of the celebrations but I'm sure there were a few sore heads the next day).

BBQ Time...

Happy Monday all.

With sunshine and warmth at last looking a potential, this weekend brought with it the first BBQ of the year.  It was burgers galore (and buffalo one's at that).

An awesome start to the season - thanks guys!
