Colombia, muchos gracias...

I've been talking honeymoons a lot recently and it got me thinking about my own (which, as always, resulted in my weighing up the pros and cons of setting up a dive school on an island surrounded by turtles vs. life in the UK - unfortunately the sensible side of my brain always wins).  My husband and I love travelling  and what better excuse for a trip than a honeymoon.  We totally milked it and took a minimoon immediately after the wedding in April, saving our most-definitely-not-mini 'luna de miel' for the end of August, when we jetted of to Colombia for 5 weeks.

Having never been to South America before it was top of our (very long) list of places to visit.  We chose Colombia as it offered everything - cities, mountains, jungles and beaches, architecture, coffee, diving and salsa clubs.

And it most definitely lived up to expectation.  I thought I'd share my 10 favourite snaps from the trip, although I think that's another tough challenge I've set myself there.

1. Horse riding down the mountains - scary!!!

2+3. A man in a cafe and a blue door

4. A fantastically retro car

5+6. Street scenes

7. A beach in Tayrona National Park - blissful!

8+9. Hot sleepy street scenes

10. A tuc tuc in the heat of the midday sun in front of El Peñón de Guatapé

Well, these are my 10 favourite of the current moment.  Ask me again next week and they will probably have changed.
