London 2012

So after indescribable levels of anticipation, we finally made it to seats 289 and 290 in the Olympic stadium and bleedin' hell it was worth the wait!  We had to be early birds and up in the park for 9.30am - eeek!  We watched a morning of athletics which included a Men's Triple Jump competition, Olivia Breen run a PB and qualifying for the 200m final, Hannah Cockroft whoop some ass in her 200m heat, Ola Abidugan qualify for his Men's 100m, Beverly Jones pick up a Bronze medal for her Discus Throw, Shelly Woods win her Women's 1500m heat and Oscar Pistorius and his teammates pick up their Gold medals for the Men's 4x100m.

An action packed morning was followed by a wander round the vastness that is the Olympic park and a bit of a relax with a beer on the BA Park Live site.  

London 2012, you should be proud - you have inspired the world.  Now, let's dust off those trainers ...

London 2012

I decided to save these babies until this weekend so I could relive some of the Olympic magic.

What an amazing couple of weeks.  I think many will agree that to say our athletes have inspired a nation is almost an understatement.  Well done guys!  

Having been unable to get hold of any last minute tickets (sob!), we went to Potters Fields by London Bridge last Saturday to watch Mo's 5000m and it was epic.  I can't wait for the Paralympics!

And today's sharing is .... Claire + Paul.  It's just coming up to their first wedding anniversary and writing this blog post made me remember how they are possibly the world's most awesome couple.
